Tim Hibbert, the President of the Bicester Rotary Club, approached Word Salon for help with achieving his ambition of creating a new satellite rotary club. The brief was to create a concept and copy that would challenge the current perceptions of the club resulting in attracting new audiences from the local community, in particular a younger demographic who may not have previously considered joining Rotary.
Following an in depth brief, Word Salon created a selection of concepts which conveyed the selling points of joining the organisation, incorporated a ‘call to action’ and also relayed the good work that Rotary does for the community. Extended copy was then written to be used for flyers and on a website.
“Elizabeth asked a lot of questions and seemed to really understand the brief and what I was trying to achieve. She provided a good selection of headlines, which we both discussed as a Club, and also used them as a “sounding board” with colleagues who were not members of Rotary. The one we chose had exactly the right tone and message. The rest of the copywriting was very well written and concise and was quickly approved by myself and other members without any amendments. The local paper then picked up the story and using much of the copy written, produced an article about the new club.
I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Word Salon for high quality copywriting services.”
